Soccer Champions

St. Kevin’s students took to the soccer field recently in a 5-aside soccer tournament at Greystones United. We sent two teams to the qualifying tournament with one of our teams progressing through to the Wicklow championships in Arklow which was held just before the Easter break.

After an initial loss, the St Kevin’s team fought hard in their group, winning through to the semi-final and then final where they met St John’s of Arklow.

After a nail biting final, St. Kevin’s came out as tournament winners, taking the final 1-0.

The team now moves on to compete for the Leinster title on 30th April in Bunclody. Many thanks to Mr McNeice and Mr O’Neill for all their hard work and dedication in coaching the teams.

We wish them the very best of luck in their bid to become Wicklow champions!
