St Kevin’s National School has undergone extensive renovations over the last couple of years and ongoing fundraising has been paramount to funding this.
After the great success of the 20K Drop in 2017, we set on our way to hold a Pedal Powered Pop-Up Cinema on Saturday 30th March in Shoreline Leisure Greystones in conjunction with Pedal Cents.
It was fantastic to have all of our school’s community come together for such a fun event. Over 70 volunteer cyclists from our Board of Management, Parents’ Association, teachers and parents cycled continuously to power our movie, The Greatest Showman. It was an amazing event, with lots of fun had by all – especially the kids who got to watch the movie.
Overall, €20,351 was raised for our school, with huge thanks to our main sponsors:
- BBA Architecture
- McCloskey & Co.
- Lotus Landscape Design
- Nolan Construction
- Orthos Medical
- Supervalu Dalys
- Wood Group Homes
Thanks also goes to our advertisers, businesses that donated prizes, cyclists who raised nearly €11K in sponsorship and of course, ticket and raffle sales.
A big thank you to Charlie Sharkey too, for these great pictures taken on the day.
Our focus this year was to have an event centred around the school children with a whopping 600 audience in attendance altogether.
Of course, we must thank our tireless and ever-supportive Parents’ Association for all their help in organising the event, in particular our Fundraising Committee for their time and energy. We also want to sincerely thank you, our parents for all of your help and support for our school and students.
We hope you enjoyed the event!
