A Minister’s Visit

On Friday 5th April, Minister Simon Harris visited the students, staff and Board of Management of St Kevin’s School. The Minister for Health is a past pupil of St Kevin’s. He met up with some of his former teachers and was given a guided tour of the school by members of our Student Council. They also spent time with him explaining the important work that they do around the school.

He spent time with different classes in our library, investigating our computer room and our Language Class. He then met with our 4th, 5th and 6th class students for a special assembly.

The students were very interested to hear Minister Harris talk about his days at St Kevin’s and about his work as a minister. They had lots of interesting and challenging questions for the minister.

Minister Harris also received a gift of a piece of artwork created by two of our 6th class students as a memento of his visit back to his primary school, St. Kevin’s.
